Stable Story
Willow Tree sits on a quiet stretch of Middle Tennessee, where the mornings come in slow and the horses know it. We're not a large operation — we never set out to be. What we set out to be was deliberate.
The breeding program here is built around spots. Knabstruppers and Appaloosas, primarily, with an eye toward producing horses that can do more than look striking in a field — though they do that too. The Knabstruppers bring the sport horse athleticism and the kind of movement that turns heads in a jumping ring. The Appaloosas bring endurance, toughness, and a soundness of mind that I've always admired in the breed. Cross them, and you get something genuinely interesting.
Every horse that leaves Willow Tree carries that philosophy with it. We breed for ability first, temperament second, and the spots are just a very welcome bonus.
I'm Rhianon. I've had horses my whole life and I expect I always will. If you're interested in a breeding, looking at a horse, or just want to talk — the gate's always open.
